Incorrect Event Used

  1. SAVE PDF DOCUMENT or RE-SCAN DOCUMENT

  2. EDIT DOCKET TEXT TO REFLECT ERROR

    • Add corrective text before the original text:

      Examples:

      Error made by Court User:
      ***Docketing Error - Incorrect event selected*** Correct Document is : Chapter 13 Plan (filed incorrectly as: Document) Chapter 13 Plan filed by Trustee.   Modified on 4/27/2004 to note docketing error.

      Error made by External User:
      ***Electronic Filing Error - Incorrect event selected*** Correct Document is : Chapter 13 Plan (filed incorrectly as: Document) Chapter 13 Plan filed by Trustee.   Modified on 4/27/2004 to note docketing error.

  3. MAKE CORRECTIVE ENTRY

    Example: Corrective Entry: Chapter 13 Plan incorrectly docketed using the document event. Clerk's office to re-docket using correct event.

  4. TERMINATE DOCUMENT

    • Identify document terminated in text box

      Example: Document terminated: Chapter 13 Plan. To be re-filed using Chapter 13 Plan event.
       

  5. RE-DOCKET USING CORRECT EVENT

    • Examples: 1) Proposed Order was filed using an event other than proposed order...order will not upload to Judge.  Necessary to redocket or manually upload.  2) Relief from Stay was filed using the Motion to Abandon event...motion will not appear on statistical report.

If incorrect event terminated deadline:

UPDATE DEADLINES

  • Bankruptcy  > Court Events

  • Select appropriate Update Deadline event

If incorrect event generated a BNC notice:

DELETE NOTICE

    • If not already picked up by BNC: delete the notice.

    • If already picked up by BNC:

      • CREATE NOTICE OF CORRECTION FORM (WordPerfect).

      • DOCKET [Court Events > Notice via BNC] to send notice to all creditors. Modify docket text to read: "[name of form] inadvertently sent to all creditors."

If incorrect event set or cleared a flag:

SET-RESET FLAG

  • Bankruptcy >Court Events

  • Select Flags Set-Reset

  • Set and clear flags as needed to return the case back to its original state

If incorrect event is a fee event:

NOTIFY FINANCIAL TO MAKE APPROPRIATE FINANCIAL ADJUSTMENTS

If incorrect event changed case status:

Notify QC to Edit Status

QC Staff will:

  • Utilities > Edit Case Status

  • Select Edit pending status
