CHAP - Docketing Proceeding Memos

General Instructions to Docket a PM in CHAP:

Open CHAP and Login.

Select hearing date from calendar. The calendar view will appear for your selected date.

Select (highlight) the matter from the Court Calendar, then click on Minutes. The Minute Entry / Proceeding Memo Docket screen will appear.

Select the Minute Entry Type: Hearing Held, Hearing Held and Adjourned, Hearing Held and Adjourned (conference line #) .... Refer to Chart

Check the box to Assign a document Number.

If the matter is adjourned, click Enable and enter/select:

Hearing Type
-
Date/Time
-
Judge
-
Location
-
Check the box to attach document (PM PDF) only when the ECF box is checked.

Modify docket text. Refer to Chart
Note: Look for a check box indicating this is an Order and any text or handwritten notes after "It is ordered from the bench ...." If any apply, modify entry to reflect PM/Order: Hearing held ... to the docket text.

Click on Save.

Click on Done.

Send a copy of the PM to the parties in interest only when the cc: box is checked. If the party did not receive electronic notice, docket [Bankruptcy > Court Events > Notice via BNC]; browse and attach the PM.

CA will upload any necessary order. A list of orders can be found in the manual under Uploading Proposed Orders.

CA will make any necessary Order Action entries.
