Scheduling Chapter 11 Hearings

Chambers will provide hearing dates for the following matters

First Day Motions
Purpose of First Day Motions is to maintain business operations (e.g. Continuing to pay employee compensation and routine bills.)

  • Expedited Time Frame: Typically filed the same day as the Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
  • Movant requests an emergency hearing to avoid irreparable harm.

Motion for Emergency/Expedited Hearing

Disclosure Hearings:

The Judge will usually schedule the following:

  • Final Hearings - The Judge may schedule a final hearing. The final hearing date will be noted on the Proceeding Memo.

  • Ch. 11 Confirmation Hearings - The Judge may schedule the confirmation hearing at the conclusion of the disclosure hearing. The date of the confirmation hearing will be noted on the Disclosure Hearing Proceeding Memo.

  • Trials - The Judge may schedule the trial at the conclusion of the Pretrial Conference. The trial date will be noted on the Pretrial Proceeding Memo.
